This is the formula used for determining how many resources a village will generate as of Beta v0.3:

Starting villages:
4 emerald
4 iron
4 sand
8 wood
1 Villager Egg

Other Villages:
2 emeralds
each Smithy=16 iron
each House=4 Coal
each Library=2 books
each church=3 exp bottles
4+ of surrounding resource
